Barbeque Nation: A foodie's heaven!

The unlimited buffet lunches and dinners of the legendary Barbeque Nation are the ultimate foodies' delight. Great kebabs and starters on the buffet.

We gorged on fish kebabs, grilled prawns, chicken hariyali tikkas, tangri kebabs and tandoori mushroom. Since it is served right on a grill on our table, we lost count of how many times they served us fresh skewers. Kebabs were really good, but left us no space for the main course.

The main course was a bit of a let down after the great starters, though they had chicken biriyani, railway mutton curry, chicken butter masala etc. A Chinese option of very average chilli chicken and fried rice was also available. Don't know whether we had lost our appetite or what, but we didn't find the main course exciting enough.

The icing on the cake were the dessert offerings. From tiramisu, to brownies, bundi tarts, to phirni, gulab jamun, to ice cream, and delicious kulfi, you are spoilt for choice. The lip-smacking kulfi is available in six variants, including the out-of-the-box paan flavour.

We had mango and pan flavoured kulfi that were embellished with yummy trimmings.

If you have unlimited appetite, and really like non vegetarian barbecued and tandoori stuff, this is heaven for you. At a special price of Rs. 629/- per head on Mondays and Tuesdays, the buffet lunch is definitely worth checking out. But make sure you are hungry since morning, or you won't be able to do full justice.

And oh, yes, they celebrate your birthday too with a sweet cake, and birthday song sung in chorus. The service was too good, with the table attendants very attentive and very efficient.

I personally think they can offer a variant of their buffet for only starters and desserts. It can be priced at Rs.100-150 less, and can offer just kebabs (maybe limited after a point) and dessert. Just a suggestion!
