5 New Restaurants Worth Your Money in Salt Lake, Kolkata #GoodEats #NewRestaurants #SaltLakeEateries

Happy New Year Guys! Wish you a great year ahead. Happy dining and snacking!

I have compiled a list of the five new restaurants worth spending your money on in Salt Lake, Kolkata. Here goes:

  • Steak Factory, Near CAP Camp, Sector I

This new kid on the block is part of the famous chain. The location is a bit of a downer, as it's difficult for non-locals to locate it without GPS. But the food and decor are A grade. The sizzlers, salads, grills and desserts are worth mentioning. The interiors of the restaurant resemble a western tavern, complete with guitars and cowboy hats. The prices are easy on the pocket too.

  • Kareem's, Sector V

Great option for those seeking authentic Mughlai food in Salr Lake. Set across a wide area, the restaurant is roomy and the decor classy. As for the food, their biryanis, kebabs, and curries are finger-licking good. The phirni is the sweet icing on the cake. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but portions are generous too.

  • Curry Nation, IB Block, Sector III

This multi-cuisine restaurant is great for Indian cuisine. They have a wide range of dishes, from the Kashmiri Rogan Josh, to the Delhiwala Chicken Bharta, Goan Prawn Balchao, to the Bengali Prawn Malai Curry and Keralite Prawn Moilee. Added to that, the prices are reasonable and portions good. And oh yes, they offer Chinese and Continental dishes too. The location of the restaurant, near Eastern Zone Cultural Centre, on Broadway Road, is a major plus point.

  • Kouzina Mining, AD Block, Sector I

This theme restaurant specializes in Indian and tandoori cuisine. I haven't visited the restaurant yet, but have heard the interiors resemble a coal mine, complete with mining gear and a selfie zone. Food prices are slightly on the higher side, but the feedback about quality and taste is good.

  • Pisces, CG Block, Sector II

Again a multi-cuisine restaurant, focusing on seafood and tribal cuisine. The decor is a major plus point. The tribal dishes like Bamboo Cooked Chicken and Rice Pancakes are authentic enough. They offer Malaysian Noodles and Oriental starters and gravies as well. Be careful about the hotness factor, however, as all their dishes are on the spicier side. North Indian items however, are best avoided.

And then there is my old favourite, Calcutta 64, which has moved to a larger space, and offers even better food and snacking options.
Their renovated premise is rocking, to say the least. Check it out for a great adda zone.

So this was my list folks. Please add to it if you know of other eating places in Salt Lake.
