Restaurant Review - First Innings

First Innings is a multi-cuisine restaurant inside Stadel, a boutique hotel located in the Salt Lake stadium area. 

The entrance is through gate 3 of the stadium and is a bit difficult to fathom as there's a police station and the stadium gate side by side. You have to drive a bit inside the gate to reach the entrance of the hotel.

First Innings has great spacious interiors, good lighting and family friendly ambience and it was beautifully decorated as per the valentine week theme.

Coming to the food, we had excellent fish, mutton and chicken tikkas in the kebab platter, followed by white sauce spaghetti with chicken, gondhoraj bhetki, and Thai green chicken curry with rice. Portion size was good, and food was very tasty. The coolers we ordered were reasonably priced too.

The lunch buffet they have priced at INR 999 seemed to be the popular choice among diners. We preferred a-la-carte options though.

Service was excellent with the stewardess constantly attentive and keeping our requests.

The whole place speaks of class and good hospitality. Let's hope they keep up the standards.
