Babylon - Recreating hanging garden vibes

There's a new "hanging garden" themed place to chill in Salt Lake. Babylon is the latest entry in the F&B scene, with lush interiors, cool lighting, garden themed decor and fantastic food.

Went on a Sunday afternoon for a friend's birthday treat, and was pretty impressed with the vibe and ambience.

Coming to the food, starters were too good. We had the Coriander Lemon chicken kebabs and mutton Galauti kebab on tiny parathas. Both were finger-licking good.

Refreshments taken alongside included mocktails like watermelon cooler and strawberry margherita.

Coming to the main course,  we experimented with continental and Indian dishes.

The bhetki in sauce with mashed potatoes was very good, though the dish could have a side of rice or toasted bread as well. Chicken pasta in white sauce was served with one garlic toast and a cracker. It was good. The thin crust pizza was generously sprinkled with basil and barbecued chicken.

In Indian cuisine, we tried the vegetarian biryani that came with curd.

It was outstanding, delicious and filling - quite comparable with its non-vegetarian counterpart.

Overall,  excellent service and good food with youthful ambience. One suggestion: They can introduce smaller portion sizes at lesser price.

The service, and taste and presentation of food left no room for any complaints.
