Afraa - When name doesn't match performance

I had heard a lot about this restaurant. My hopes were raised by Afraa Deli which serves excellent snacks.

Went for dinner with a lot of expectations risking infection in this pandemic situation. Was expecting an exclusive evening out with all safety precautions taken.

Sorry to say, my dining experience wasn't good at all. Firstly, in this Covid season, servers were not wearing either face sheilds or gloves. Even their masks were hanging below their chin.

Second, all the cutlery was displayed on the table leaving them exposed to germs and random touch.

Third, physical distancing was hardly maintained while serving food.

Food:

Coming to the food, most of the items are overpriced. The grilled Kolkata bhetki was bland and dry. The chicken penne pasta was slathered in tomato sauce. The Herb Rice with chicken was the only saviour. Even the barbecue chicken jalapeno pizza was lacking cheese and flavours.

I had high expectations from Afraa, so had decided to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday here. But my experience was quite disappointing and frustrating.

Till now, I am not sure if I haven't exposed my family to unnecessary infection by dining out at Afraa.

Much improvement needed. The only saving grace was the decor and restaurant layout.
